Unherd in association with Radiologist, Dr. Devpriyo Pal is offering a few students (13-18-year-olds) in India an ‘Online Career Mentorship in Clinical Radiology.’ The Certified Mentorship is exclusively for high schoolers who wish to explore the lucrative career of Medicine or work under a Radiologist before making a career decision in Medicine.
What will I Learn?
Study diagnostic techniques and interpreting X-Rays through case-discussions, activities, and an independent project. Mentor and experienced Radiologist, Dr. Devpriyo Pal has designed an engaging curriculum to make high-schoolers aware of the profession and the skills needed to be successful in Radiology.
Get introduced to the hectic life of medical professionals. Ask the expert about the career, colleges/courses to apply, subspecialties, salary expectations, and more.
Equip yourselves with clinical skills to interpret X-rays / medical images and learn to communicate the findings with acute accuracy.
Apply your knowledge and classroom learnings to solve medical case problems by discussing and analysing with your mentor.
Get familiar with the usage of different diagnostic techniques starting from CT scan to MRI to diagnose illness/injury and assist in invasive medical procedures.
Complete the program with a project & earn a certificate to use for college/job applications by adding it to your resume/portfolio.

Dr. Devpriyo Pal
A gold medalist in surgery, Dr. Devpriyo Pal completed his MBBS in 2017. After exploring the field of Pediatrics, he discovered that his true interest lies in the imaging of the human body and thus, chose a specialization in Radiology. He is an active user on social media under the handle “drdevradiology” where he uses these tools as a platform to teach Radiology to the internet community.
Also, Dr. Devpriyo has written several hundred answers on Quora where he helps guide students who have questions about medical education and preparation for competitive exams.
Dr. Devpriyo is teaming up with Unherd to help educate students about what exactly a career in Radiology entails. He will talk in detail about this amazing career that is an exciting intersection of Medicine and Technology. In this one-of-a-kind Mentorship, Dr. Devpriyo plans to share his knowledge, skills, and learnings online with a few students (13-18-year-olds) – an experience Dr. Devpriyo wishes he had when in school.
Note: This is a Mentorship Program for pre-college students to explore a career in Radiology. Using the certificate to practice Medicine or treat patients is strictly not allowed. Students use the certificate to apply to colleges, résumé, or portfolio.

How much does the course cost?
Our certified course on Radiology costs Rs. 4550/- for students in the age group of 13 to 18 years (pre-college students). Minimum 80% attendance is required, along with project submission, to qualify for the certificate.
What is the duration of the program?
The program will be conducted for a total duration of 12 to 14 hours starting from June 5th to June 27th, every Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 12:30 PM IST. The program is planned for the summers in the month of June-July 2021. Final dates and timings to be announced soon.
Do you offer scholarships?
