CURRICULUM
This is a 3-month online Mentorship Class for students who are curious to explore Product and Toy Design. Modules such as elements of play, game theory, user research along with project-based learning will help students to integrate their creative ideas with practical know-how in order to come up with their own innovative toy designs.
Introduction
Get to know about the field of Toy Design, learn about design schools in India, salary expectations, and more.
Toy Theory
Learn about types of toys, their history, the concept of play, important design rules, methods for user research and other key criteria.
Understand User
Understand the importance of designing for children, their growth and development, using empathy and storytelling to create impactful products.
Hands-on Project
Work in teams to brainstorm innovative ideas, create toy mockups and get constructive review and assessment.
ABOUT AISHWARYA NAIR
A Product and Toy Designer, Aishwarya Nair aims to create playtime for kids by designing virtual spaces, games and content that will help the next generation be happier, kinder, innovative, and emotionally intelligent.
With 5+years of experience, Aishwarya has designed over 300 different toys and activities, catering to over 50,000 children across the country.
A graduate from Srishti School of Design, Aishwarya is collaborating with Unherd India to get more students aware of Toy Design, a professional field not commonly considered in India. She is bringing her expertise, knowledge, and learnings to aspiring designers – a mentoring experience Aishwarya wishes she had when in school.

How much does it cost?
If you are selected after the interview round, the fee for the certified Mentorship Class is Rs. 4550/-
When is the mentorship program?
The mentorship is planned from December 6th, 2020 to January 27, 2021. Every Wednesdays and Sundays, 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM IST.
Who is eligible?
You can apply for the mentorship if you are a citizen of India and between the age group of 13-25 years, curious and interested in design. Students are expected to be fluent in English and have access to the internet with a computer, laptop or iPad.
