Unherd.in in collaboration with animation company, Totem Creative is offering a certified Career Mentorship for high-schoolers (13-to-18-years-old) curious about the work that goes behind to create their favourite animated movies or looking to interact with experienced animators for guidance on their career choices.

Career Introduction

Get introduced to the professional lives of Animators. Learn what it takes to be in the field of Animation directly from Team Totem.

Fundamentals

Learn the fundamental concepts of Animation starting from timing & spacing to stretch & squash- all under the guidance of your mentors at Team Totem!

Character Design

Step by step sketch out a character of your choice while you dabble with different expressions and perspectives in character study.

Animate

Get mentored directly from award-winning animators as you work with them to bring your characters to motion using professional techniques.

Get Certified

On completion of the program, earn a certificate that you could use for college/job applications by adding it to your resume/portfolio.

College Ready

Not only will you be career informed about Animation but also learn about your potential and interests that could prepare you for college.

What will I Learn?

Bring your animated character to life as you learn the core concepts and techniques first-hand from professional animators at Totem. In this project-focussed Mentorship, Team Totem plans on sharing their knowledge and skills to help high-schoolers make an informed career decision.

Meet your Mentor:

Arvind Singh Jeena

The Director at Totem Creative Studio, Animator and Film maker, Arvind has completed his diploma in Animation from MIT Institute of Design. With 7+ Years of professional experience, he has produced two short films, multiple animated ad and promos for brands and media channels.

Nikhita Prabhudesai

Co-founder and Art director at Totem Creative, Nikitha is a graduate from MIT Institute of Design. She specializes in Visual Development and Storyboarding.’

How much does the Mentorship cost?

The certified Mentorship costs Rs. 5650/- inclusive of taxes. The fee is to be paid once you receive a confirmation letter from us after a phone interview round. 

Why is there a fee?
This mentorship is an exclusive mentorship with a maximum of 20 students per class, made better through online delivery and an intensive curriculum. A minimal fee is charged to sustain ourselves, pay our staff for the maintenance of our organization, and to the mentors who invest significant effort and time in conducting personalized training with you.
What materials will I require for the Mentorship?
For the Animation Mentorship, it is best if you have a drawing stylus (eg: Wacom or iPad with pencil), Adobe Photoshop or similar supporting software. Most importantly, carry your creative hats! đŸ™‚
Do you offer scholarships?
100% scholarships are awarded to students based on financial need, aptitude, and genuine interest in the program. The decision lies solely with the selection committee. For more details please write in to us: contact@unherd.in.
What is the duration of the program?

The Mentorship Program is planned online from 21st August to 11th September, every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
